CE Course Description

Self-compassion is the act of being supportive toward oneself when experiencing suffering or pain, whether caused by personal mistakes and inadequacies or by external life challenges. Studies have shown that practicing self-compassion has many personal and professional benefits. This course will examine self-compassion from theoretical and practical perspectives, helping mental health professionals cultivate skills and strategies for its application in their personal and professional lives. A special focus will be placed on addressing the societal and personal narratives that particularly affect wellness.
