Evidence-based education for nurses regarding concussions, including what a concussion is, types of concussions, risk factors, symptoms, diagnostic tools, treatment, potential complications, and necessary patient education, can help promote optimal outcomes. Nurses who are knowledgeable can clear misconceptions related to concussions and provide competent concussion-related care.
