CE Course Description
This course is based upon excerpts from the Treatment Improvement Protocol Manual #42 - Substance Abuse Treatment for Persons with Co-Occurring Disorders.
CE Course Obectives
1. Describe the essential diagnostic features of pathological gambling, and compare those to the features of substance dependence.
2. Identify recommended strategies and techniques for clinicians working with pathological gamblers.
3. Review various case studies pertaining to pathological gamblers and gamblers with co-occurring disorders.
4. Discuss specific treatment approaches used to treat pathological gamblers, including those with substance abuse issues.
