CE Course Description
This course is based on a chapter taken from TIP manual #53: Addressing Virual Hepatitis in People with Substance Use Disorders by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Administration. This chapter covers a basic overview of Viral Hepatitis A, B and C.

CE Course Description

1.  Describe the characteristics and causes of viral hepatitis.

2.  Evalute the effects of co-infection with more than one type of hepatitis and with HIV.

3. Discuss how substance abuse issues impacts the burden and disease course of hepatitis.

4.  Identify strategies to prevent viral hepatitis.
