CE Course Description
Motivation for change is a key component in addressing substance misuse. This CE course shows how SUD treatment counselors can influence positive behavior change by developing a therapeutic relationship that respects and builds on the client’s autonomy. Different motivational interventions counselors can apply to all stages in the Stages of Change (SOC) model related to substance misuse and recovery from addiction are also described.
