CEU Course Description
This course was developed from the National Cancer Institute workbook which is a resource designed to help the patient talk to their health care provider(s) about complementary and alternative medicine (CAM) use during and after their cancer care. The workbook also contains information for the health care provider such as documents which can be used to help their patients keep track of their medicines, CAM use, and complementary providers.
CEU Course Objectives
1. Understand the difference between complementary, alternative, and integrative medicines.
2. Enumerate the different types of CAM therapies.
3. Identify what the patient should do before each visit with their health care providers.
4. Review the information that the patient should tell their health care providers before treatment begins.
