CEU Course Description

This CEU course provides an overview of child welfare in-home services and examines: the importance of in-home services; in-home services delivery and funding; evaluations of in-home services; and examples of promising programs and practices.

CEU Course Objectives

1.  Explain the challenges of real-world program evaluation.

2.  Investigate the caregiver outcomes that research has shown Motivational Interviewing to be effective at improving.

3.  Examine the program that was developed for parents who are at risk for child abuse and/or neglect and those families with a history of abuse and/or neglect.

4.  Describe what research has found with regard to children and families on assessment tracks and how they are more likely to benefit.
