CEU Course Description

This CE course provides child welfare professionals with knowledge on: engaging families in case planning; caseworker strategies that support family engagement in case planning; agency strategies that support family engagement in case planning; findings in the Child and Family Services Reviews; and state and local examples.

CEU Course Objectives

1.  Enumerate the caseworker’s behaviors that studies have suggested may support a collaborative relationship with the family.

2.  Investigate the theoretical foundations that Solution-Based Casework of a child welfare practice model is built on.

3.  Describe the questions that safety mapping focuses on being answered by caseworkers and families.
