CE Course Desription
These guidelines present a set of recommendations that will help to reduce TB disease in people living with HIV, their families and communities through a combination of screening for TB and provision for IPT.
CE Course Objectives
1. Evaluate the need to screen individuals living with HIV for tuberculosis, and describe the circumstances in which screening for TB and other disorders is advocated.
2. Assess the benefits of using isoniazid preventative therapy for the prevention of TB among people living with HIV.
3. Determine appropriate screening, prevention techniques, and treatment options for special populations such as pregnant women, children, and others who may be at-risk for TB.
4. Identify the causes and symptoms of Hepatitis B, as well as diagnosis, prevention, and treatment options..
