CE Course Objectives
1. Recognize evidence-based and efficient strategies to manage patients with concussion and/or mild traumatic brain injury (mTBI), while differentiating between those who may benefit from further assessment, brief intervention, and/or ongoing treatment.
2. Define traumatic brain injury and identify diagnostic criteria and symptoms for m/TBI and concussion.
3. Determine which symptom management techniques are best suited for physical, cognitive, and behavioral symptoms of mTBI/concussion while identifying pharmacotherapy and physical rehabilitation options.
4. Evaluate interventions to improve health related outcomes for patients with concussion/mTBI and to reduce morbidity and morality for these injuries.
