Giving Back
In keeping with the environmental and social consciousness themes of our business, Quantum Units Continuing Education is happily taking our good fortune and paying it forward. It has been our experience that practicing generosity or dana in the world sets off a chain reaction that ultimately comes full circle. In other words, we get what we give. We are delighted to support such local 'community' causes as youth athletics, living organ donation, reducing youth access to alcohol as well as national causes such as Habitat for Humanity and PBS.
Our web site developers ITECH Solutions donated this page so that we could challenge our internet community and course participants to take inventory of your many blessings and find ways to pay forward skills, talents, time, money - even an organ!
Thank you for your continued support of Quantum Units Continuing Education. A portion of all profits from this site go to the following causes.
We are only separated by our thinking minds.
Living Organ Donation (yes, we at Quantum Units Education even donate our organs!)
Gayle was diagnosed with PKD (Polycystic Kidney Disease) at the age of 20. With the quality of her life declining, no donor matches in sight due to a rare blood type and facing the inevitability of living many years on dialysis, one of the staff members of Quantum Units Education, after hearing about Gayles story, decided to undergo a blood type and antigen test and turned out to be a very good donor match for Gayle. She thus donated a left kidney on April 17th 2009. You can follow Gayle's story and updates as to the progress she is making after undergoing the transplant on her blog located at: http://gaylechipman.wordpress.com.

ChildFund International
ChildFund International is inspired and driven by the potential that is inherent in all children; the potential not only to survive but to thrive, to become leaders who bring positive change for those around them.
Our area of excellence and great strength is our deep understanding of children's experiences of deprivation, exclusion and vulnerability, and our dedication to placing those experiences at the center of our policy and practice. We work in 31 countries, assisting approximately 15.2 million children and their family members, regardless of race, creed or gender. Our distinctive approach focuses on working with children throughout their journey from birth to young adulthood, as well as with families, local organizations and communities globally to create the environments children need to thrive. We know a healthy beginnings for infants means future promise, so we promote programs that offer:
- Good nutrition and care during the prenatal period and early years
- Protection against potentially life-threatening childhood illnesses
- Opportunities to develop and learn through play and exploration
- Stronger relations with the adults who care for them
We support children as they grow and develop, so we promote programs that offer:
- Knowledge and life skills in school, at home and in the community
- Foundations to build lifelong learning and confidence for today and hope for the future
- Interaction with other children, family and community members to develop social skills
We assist youth with the critical transition to adulthood, so we promote programs that offer:
- Training to acquire the skills needed to enter the workforce and meet challenges to grow into adults
- Skills to help understand and express emotions in ways that foster safe and fulfilling relationships
- Enhanced social and leadership skills to become meaningfully involved for the betterment of their communities
